Following the recent attacks carried
out in the university, by allegedly unknown arm robbers.
As from Friday 31st March
2018, students were chased with cutlasses, their phones and other valuables
were seized by the robbers.
The victims of the attacks express
anger over the poor security system in the school. Night study just resuming
from out two (2) weeks strike has become something of great fear.
According, to respondents the halls
which are target points include: LT 1C, LT 1E, LT 1F among others.
Between the early hours of Monday
8PM-10PM the school has been under serious tension as men of the Nigerian
Police Force (NPF) in conjunction with the Mopol were called upon to monitor
and arrest any person found wanted.
The Student Union Government (SUG)
President, Mr. Nathaniel assured students that more men of the security agents
will be invited to provide external security.
He further, said the students
involved in this illegal act, will not go free.
